My goal is to have a SharePoint Library as the model workspace, sync’d to the desktop of each user. Though it wouldn’t allow concurrent edits, the sync’d library would still be valuable for model collaboration and version control.
The issue is, when I try to open a project from someone else, all the diagrams are greyed out, and I can’t open anything. Is there a reason why representations would be greyed out like this?
Yes it looks like you have invalid representations. This means that somehow your model got invalid. Why/How I don;t know.
Observations: When my colleague opens the Workspace (saved in a SharePoint library), his “File > Switch Workspace” shows local directories with my name in it, from my PC. Interesting.
Also it seems somehow we did open a shared model, but only after he copy-pasted the Workspace folder to his desktop, and opened the desktop version.
Does anyone know what’s happening? Any way to effectively use a SharePoint documents library as a shared workspace?
