Hi everyone,
I’m currently working on the Operational Analysis for a student CubeSat Project in Capella and my model is still a bit unstructured, so I’m trying to improve the way I organize activities.
Right now, I have several high-level activities (e.g. Perform Data Distribution) that are decomposed into multiple sub-activities (e.g. Collect Mission Data, Prepare Data Package, Distribute Data Package).
What I would like to achieve is the following:
-
Maintain a detailed OAB with all sub-activities for internal work
-
At the same time, create a clean and minimal version (for reviews/presentations) that only shows the high-level activities
My question is specifically about visual structuring:
Is there a way in Capella to represent a hierarchy of activities directly inside an OAB, similar to how sub-entities can be visually nested?
For example, displaying child activities inside a parent activity box to improve readability?
At the moment, my diagrams become quite cluttered once I include all sub-activities and exchanges, so I’m looking for a cleaner way to structure this.
Any best practices or examples would be super helpful!
Thanks a lot ![]()
