Eclipse SysON’s proposal of the possibility of integrating Capella architecture and SysML v2 is interesting. On Eclipse’s website Eclipse SysON Creation Review | projects.eclipse.org, it says Oct 18 was the “end of review”.
If anybody know,
Is there any update on the project?
Is there a prototype ready or is the project development yet to begin?
This means that the project was accepted by the foundation and so that a repository will be created soon.
As it is detailed at the end of the proposal, our roadmap is:
For 2023
Q4: Initial Contribution, project and continuous integration setup, builds.
For 2024
Reach a level of maturity suitable for basic System modeling, which implies to:
Improve coverage and compliance of the standard in the metamodel implementations
Improve the editors, notably the “General View”
Link with Capella and Capella-based products
Interoperability with the textual syntax and/or API
So yes a prototype already exists and we will provide the initial code base before the end of this year.
