Some System Actors are shown in italic in SAB

Hi,

Some of the labels of my system actors in my SAB are shown in italic. What does this mean? Does this indicate an error in the modelling?

I have not created new actors in the System Analysis, but I have transitioned them from the Operational Analysis layer.

Can you share a screenshot?

By labels I’m assuming you’re referring to their names. If so, this text will appear in italics if the SA has been defined as being abstract. You can verify this by looking at the properties for the SA element and confirming whether the “Is abstract” property has been selected.

The “label format” is set to Italic if the SA is set to abstract.
However, if that is not the case this might be the place to check:
