M2Doc with LibreOffice

Hi community !

Is it possible to use M2Doc with LibreOffice ?

I guess it is not possible with .odt, but LibreOffice can open .docx so I guess it should be possible.

Thanks in advance,

Nicolas

Hi,

With M2Doc 4.x and below it’s not possible since you can’t edit fields used by M2Doc to store its statements. But With M2Doc 5.x and above it will be possible since statements will move to plain text. You will need to use the docx format and no test has been conducted to support LibreOffice nor other OOXML editors.
So it should work but it might lead to bugs. If you want to give it a try you can use the nightly update site:
https://s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/obeo-m2doc-releases/master/nightly/repository
Note that this version is not compatible with Capella because it use a newer version of AQL (8.x vs 7.x). The repository given above is both a p2 and maven repository.

Thank you for the quick answer !

Unfortunatly I have to use Capella 6.1.0, due to the company policy.

It is still nice to know that future version might be compatible with libre office.
