Is there a way to tag diagrams or add specific metadata to diagrams for searchability?

I would like the models to appeal to different audiences; for example, diagrams filtered by discipline {electronics, mechanical, software, business development…}, concern {mass, performance, reliability, interoperability…}, or potentially even status {draft, ready for review, released…}. But once we’re over like 20 diagrams, it’s unweildy and we can’t expect any specialist engineer to become familiar with the scope of all of them.

The only mechanism I know of is to include more keywords in the diagram name. However there’s no way to really enforce any schema or format for the name, and needs change. Plus long names take longer to read, parse, and search through.

Is there an approach to add specific metadata fields, or if not just to tag diagrams with keywords so that diagrams might be made more searchable and filterable?

Great question and suggestion. Not sure if there is a better solution at the moment than what you are doing, and also maybe creating sub-packages to store/sort them.
