I am new in capella. I’m trying unsuccessfully (through this
official link) a few days ago to install it on my ubuntu 18.04 laptop.
I have installed eclipse photon and my java version is 11.0.1.
Any help will be highly appreciated.

Capella runs with Java 8, and also have a look at this thread as you may have to do the chmod trick as for Mac :
