Eclipse Installer for Capella Development

It is now possible to use the Eclipse Installer (
http://wiki.eclipse.org/Eclipse_Installer) to easily setup a development environment for Capella and its addons. I have also created a video that shows how to use the installer for that purpose here:

Very interesting news!
Thank you for your contribution.
Christophe.

Hello Felix,
Thanks for your tutorial. I’ve tried to follow it, but it seems there is a problem with the Capella.setup file
I’ve attached my error
Best Regards,
Florent

I don’t know why but if I download the .setup file on my computer and specify it as the URI local file it works.
Thank you for your tutorial Felix,
It was very helpul,
Regards,
Florent

Well it seems that i’ve spoken too fast,
Now that I’ve done the cloning an error has raised :
Any clue to fix it ?
Best Regards,
Florent

Unfortunately some of the update site URLs in the setup file change frequently which is why it didn’t work out for you. I fixed the URLs and submitted it for review to capella devs. (
https://git.polarsys.org/r/3114). As soon as this change is merged it should work.

Thank you very much for your help and your commit. It works well now.
Best Regards,
Florent

Hi,
I want to push a new setup model to the git repo on Sunday, 6th May. This will add support for 1.1.x, 1.2.x and the master branches.
The new model is not compatible with the old one, so once I push the change, existing installations will no longer work as expected. Just delete your old installs and run the installer again.
Cheers,
Felix
