Sometimes i try to drag and drop functions from the symentic browser into components in a diagram. Sometimes Capella does not allow me to do this. I fix it by creating a new diagram of the same component. Then i can drag and drop. Does someone have a solution or an explanation why this happens?
Please provide a use case, it will probably help to understand the issue and possible explanation. It is probably linked to the fact that your component has already some functions allocated and even displayed on it, and you are dropping functions contained in the hierarchy of functions already allocated on the component. Drag and dropping a function on a component means that the function becomes allocated to the component. But in a finalized Capella model (Arcadia actually), only leaf functions can be allocated to components.
