Confusion regarding actors

Hello,

Capella allows someone to decompose a Component into other Components, but also to Actors. Does that make sense with respect to Arcadia?

I found that:

An actor is an external entity (user, operator or other system) interacting directly with the System under study

But on the other hand:

A Component is a constituent part of either the System or Internal Actors.
He contributes to their behavior, properties and characteristics, by interacting with other Components and with both Internal and External Actors.

Then, what is an Internal Actor? What would it mean for a Logical Component (encapsulating a behavior or properties of the SOI) to be decomposed by Logical Actors (among other objects)? Is my SOI a Logical Actor at System Analysis?

Great question - I think you’ll find some useful answer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhRpOjfyPbk&t=875s

I see. The semantics behind actors and components is much clearer now.

When definition the Physical Architecture, a distinction is made between Behavior/Node PC and Deploy Behavior/Node PC. Do you have a reference which explains the difference between the two terms?

Thank you!
Matthieu

I found that reply from Voirin in another post, which contributes to understanding the deployment relationship: Deployment vs Hierarchy of Behavioural Components - Arcadia - Eclipse Capella Forum

Indeed and FYI there is an extensive set of documents on Arcadia on this page: Arcadia Reference Documents
