Capturing power consumption

I am trying to capture power consumption of an IoT system, but the consumption depends on the modes and states of the physical components.

Is it possible to capture power consumption of Physical Components (Like Mass Viewpoint), but also broken down into respective states (sleeping, measuring, communicating, etc.)?

Hi. I can see two paths:

  1. Extend the mass viewpoint to take into account these states (I think they are rather modes)
