Unable to migrate to Capella 5.0.0 with FIltering AddOn

Hi,

when I try to import and migrate a Capella 1.4.0 / 1.4.1 / 1.4.2 project -which uses the Filtering-AddOn- into Capella 5.0.0 I get the follwing error:

Some extensions are missing
Unknown 'FilteringModel[]' from model 'http://www.polarsys.org/capella/filtering/1.4.0'.

Ist there a special way to migrate to Capella 5.0.0? (The migration from 1.4.0 to 1.4.1 and 1.4.2 is working fine…)
Or is this a (known) Bug? If so is there a workaround?

Capella 5.0.0 ist installed with Filtering 1.5.0

Kind regards

Hi,

Indeed it seems there is an issue in the migration process.
There is no known workaround. We will deliver a new Filtering release for this issue.

Hi,
thank you - it is working fine now!

Will the versioning of the AddOns be adapted to the new versioning of Capella?
(or else this bugfix should have been 1.5.0.1 instead of 1.5.1…?)

Kind regards

Hi,
The version issue was mainly occuring on Capella,

It was not possible to distinguish minor releases and macro releases for bug purposes.
The 1.4.1 has been released including enhancements, whereas 1.4.2 has been mainly released for blocking issue matter. If 1.4.1 had been called 4.1, then the 1.4.2 could have been a 4.1.1, implying that it was only a bug related version.

On addons, this same versionning rule could have be changed but it didn’t raise yet at same level of criticity.
For filtering / sss-transition, we thought it was more important to separate the version of the addon from the capella one, like the requirement addon did.
Indeed, it can be more complicated to understand the compatibility when versions of addon and capella are tightly bounded.
For instance, does the 1.4.1 version of filtering requires the capella 1.4.1 ? or does it can be installed on 1.4.0 ? is it compatible with 1.4.2 ? Now that they are separated, the compatibility is described on each release of addon rather than being wrongly intuitive.
