I am evaluating the suitability and impact of deploying Capella in my company, and I’m concerned about interfacing Capella with our requirements database, for which we use Jama.
From my reading on this forum, I understand that I can only easily achieve this as an asynchronous, effectively read-only, import. I would need to use Jama Connect’s “Interchange for ReqIF” tool to take a snapshot of the requirement database as a ReqIF file, and then import that into Capella. When a new requirements baseline is established, I would then need to re-import into Capella, and I presume, manually identify any changes that need to be reflected in the model.
I could not find any add-ons currently available for direct, Jama-Capella synchronous connectivity, but understand that some companies (e.g. Obeo) may be able to develop these.
I’m hoping that someone with experience using Jama with Capella can either confirm that my understanding is correct, or identify another solution I may have missed, before I begin to sink time into testing out such a process. Thanks in advance!
