(PVMT) Link to existing elements/diagrams

Hi,

I’m currently exploring the PVMT plugin, and so far I have used it to show visual links of Capella Interfaces to MSM diagrams (through the Class Diagrams). However, this use of PVMT is limited in that I can only link to the MSM by using the name of the diagram. My question is; is there a way to set a property value that is not a string, but an actual link to an entity or diagram in Capella?
This can (kind of) be done by adding the ID of the diagram as a property value, but this sounds like a tedious task to do.

Hi,
Sorry, I’m not going to answer your question, but maybe the Representation link feature can match with your need? It allows to show in a diagram a “Note” with an hyperlink to another diagram. Example:

Hi,

This is actually very close to what I’m looking for, thanks a lot!
I’ll still have to find out of I can see whether this note is discoverable through the Java API in Capella Studio, but that is for another day.
Thanks again!

Note If anyone does know whether this is possible in PVMT please feel free to answer

Hello,
Is the “representation link” available in the palette available in the right?

Hi,

It is indeed, under the arrow next to the note.
