Hi,
Is there a way to update from 5.0.0 to 5.1.0 or it is necessary to install this new version keeping both in the computer?
Cheers,
Cláudio H.

Hi Claudio,

When upgrading Capella:

  • You can download and unzip the last version of Capella on your computer
  • You may then launch the new Capella and import your existing projects from your previous workspace
  • When you open the importing models, Capella will prompt you asking if you’re ok with having your model migrated

Once you’re done with the migration and that all your models are working fine, you may delete your previous Capella installation. Bear in mind that once a model is migrated to a newer version of Capella, you can’t go backward.

More information on Capella project migration here: https://github.com/eclipse/capella/blob/master/doc/plugins/org.polarsys.capella.ui.doc/html/First%20steps%20with%20Capella/3.5.%20How%20to%20migrate%20Capella%20projects.mediawiki

Also if you’re using some add-ons, there are extra steps required. More information on this here: https://github.com/eclipse/capella/blob/master/doc/plugins/org.polarsys.capella.ui.doc/html/Installation%20Guide/How%20to%20install%20Capella%20and%20Addons.mediawiki#Installation_from_previous_version
